The holidays are upon us and unlike last year, we can take full advantage of what the season has to offer again! From pop-up markets to beautiful light displays and bars who’ve taken ‘deck the halls’ to another level (and put even Clark Griswold to shame,) there is no shortage of ways to get in the festive spirit in the Twin Cities!
For all those wanderlust seekers out there, times are tough. Despite the severity of the pandemic, if you’re open to being a little creative there are still plenty of safe adventures to be found close to home.
Here are some of my favorite Mini adventures you can have no matter where you live, and I hope they can inspire you to try a few!
The pandemic has left a lot of us looking for things to do outside. I’ve been hitting the trails a lot, but sometimes I’m just not up for a difficult hike. So after spending the majority of 2020 wandering around outside, I’ve compiled a list of what I think are the easiest hikes that nearly everyone can do.
I have had so many emotions of grief, fear, anger, helplessness, sadness, and guilt. I was so conflicted about sharing my story, but the more I thought about it, the more I started to move past my discomfort and began looking forward to sharing. What if even just one thing I say could resonate with someone who has never before thought or talked about white privilege? What if something I said could tell a different story than just what has been shown on major news outlets?
When I first started this account and my blog, I had major doubts about it. Why would anyone give a fuck about who I am, what I think or what I’m doing? What am I even contributing in this space that’s over-saturated with other white, (privileged) female travelers and wanna-be influencers?
Over the weekend, my friends and I attended the Winter Kite Festival and Art Shanty Projects on Lake Harriet.
I’ve attended the Art Shanty project a few times over the past couple of years, but this was my first time to see the kite festival. It was amazing to see so many people out enjoying public art on a cold winter day.
